"O morte, dov'è il tuo dardo. / O morte, dov'è la tua vittoria."


Funeral ticket: a large plinth inscribed at the base with a Biblical quotation, surmounted by a figure of Father Time kneeling on the edge of a tomb inscribed 

"O Death, where is thy Sting. / O Grave, where is thy Victory"

on the left, with a skeleton lying over it and falling to right; in a landscape with thuder and lightning overhead, a tree to left, sun setting behind a town on the far side of a river in the distance behind and the moon rising between barren trees and a toppling column behind to right; the blank face of the plinth annotated with the name of the deceased in pencil.
