capitali associati al denaro, in particolare l'avarizia e la bramosia materiale.

Ai tempi di Pieter Bruegel il Vecchio, “Dulle Griet” – o Margaret la matta – era la proverbiale moglie malvagia e irascibile che opprime il marito, non ha paura di nessuno e si arrabbierà addirittura con  il diavolo stesso. In questo dipinto è mostrata mentre brandisce la sua scopa davanti a un gruppo di orribili demoni davanti la porta dell'Inferno (indicata dal fuoco a sinistra). Tuttavia, non ha poteri magici, non è una strega. Ma fu accusata di avarizia, qui simboleggiata da vari oggetti d'oro che sporgono dal suo grembiule.
