Spesso le opere d’arte e la morte sono strettamente intrecciate le une all’altra. La realtà crudele espressa in immagini può essere sgradevole; eppure se l’energia che traspare dovesse essere riconosciuta cupa e ingiusta potrebbe non essere solo a causa di ciò che rappresenta. Dobbiamo piuttosto vederla come il tentativo di affrontare ciò che di oscuro c’è nelle nostre vite e nel mondo in cui viviamo, come un processo per mutare in comprensione le nostre incomprensioni.
