Here lies interred the Body of

DEACON Samuel Minot,

who died March 17th AD 1766 in

the 60th Year of his Age. he was

virtuous and exemplary in his

Life and conversation, discovered

himself a friend to the cause and

interest of religion, was patient &

resigned under his ilness and

confinement, instructive in his

advice and counsel & manifested

a steadt hope in the mercy of

God thro a Redeemer

.

Qui giace sepolto il corpo del diacono Samuel Minot,

che morì il 17 marzo 1766 all'età di 60 anni.

Fu virtuoso ed esemplare nella sua vita

e nella sua condotta,

si dimostrò amico della causa

e degli interessi della religione,

fu paziente e rassegnato durante

la sua malattia e la sua reclusione,

istruttivo nei suoi consigli

e nella sua guida

e manifestò una ferma speranza

nella misericordia di Dio attraverso un Redentore
